Bible Study Club meetingGeneral Info

At the Bible Club our goals are to study the Bible, serve in our community, help students to grow in the Christian walk, provide them with valuable Christian resources, and provide a warm atmosphere for Christians to fellowship together. Our club meets every Wednesday at lunch, from about 10:40 to 11:15. At each meeting, we gather with fellow believers, and read and study the Bible. We are also blessed to have Ron Fox teach our Bible study. Ron Fox is the pastor of the Berean Bible Church at 1400 Birch Street in Denver. We have been using a book to help guide us in our study called Growing Strong in God's Family.

We also highly value serving in our community. During the 2000-01 year, we designed posters for the club and participated in community service activities such as bagging food at the COMPA Ministries Thanksgiving food drive, helping at the GW Clean-up Day, and serving at SHARE COLORADO.

History

Beginning in 1992, a small group of about six Christian students began to meet together and talk about the Bible. They usually read and studied the Bible together. At the time, they were not allowed to establish a formal club. Years later, a student named Marcus Farmer was able to establish an official club at the school and plan regular meetings. For the past 5-6 years, the club has held regular weekly meetings where students discussed and studied the Bible with Ron Fox, pastor of Berean Bible Church. In the 1999-2000 school year, members of the club decided to expand the club's work to include activities, service, and outreach. By God's grace, the club has created leadership positions (president, vice president, secretary, etc.) and expanded to a membership of thirty or more students, and continues to grow!
